Finally after invite only, Google has finally released the Google Buzz. Google Buzz is similar to twitter for the fact that you put status messages. You also have the option of adding media to it. Here is what Google says.

One striking feature about Google Buzz is it’s seemless integritation with Google Maps. All your Buzzes will be Geo Tagged which means your friends can see where you are and what you are doing. You can easily comment on each others status and will be notified in the mail. You can find more details about the service from the embedded video below.
Google Buzz isn’t just about Buzzing from Desktop, you can also use it from your mobile. Its web is available for iPhone, Android etc. All you have to do is point your web browser to buzz.google.com And surprisingly the symbian has a client available. Go to google.com and choose maps. The new map version 4.0 has Buzz built right into it. So now join the buzz and tell us what you think about this service. 
Twitter is no new word for us. Still for those who don’t know it yet, Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access.
Most of us have enjoyed twitter on Desktops, Macs and mobile phones(GPRS). But now airtel has introduced even a simpler way. Now to use twitter on phone you don’t need a gprs connection anymore. You can use sms service for twitter.
How To Use:
New User
• SMS Signup to 53000 @ Re 1 per SMS
• Follow instructions to go ahead and complete the registration
Existing User – Wanting to link their device to the Twitter A/c
• SMS Start to 53000 @ Re 1 per SMS
• Follow instructions to complete linking your Airtel phone to your Twitter A/c
There are 3 types of consumers on Twitter –
• New User – SMS Signup to 53000
• Existing User with only a Twitter id but having linked the mobile phone to the Twitter account – SMS Signup to 53000
•Existing User with a Twitter id and having linked the Mobile number to the id – The consumer will be directly active on the service. There will be nothing that the consumer will have to do.
