You’ve already seen the Nokia N8′s first video walk through which we posted a while ago. If you haven’t, Click Here. This video shows the photography software bundled with the device. There’s software to view photo albums; to edit your photos and even to create videos while you’re on the move – using multiple clips, text titles and transitions. Lastly, we see how the N8 can interact with mobile storage devices, such as a USB key.
First of all our sincere apologies for the slow or no updates on news for the past few weeks. Well, what better way not to start off with the highly anticipated Nokia N8. Here’s video that shows some of the home screen features, mail, sms etc.
Here is what we think.
1. Home Screen Looks similar to the S60V5 phones. However, it features three home screens which you can navigate by simply sliding left and right. This will help you include more widgets and shortcuts or you could assign each for work, home or fun as you like.
2. SMS has seen a great face lift. say goodbye to the old per-message view and welcome the conversational view. So you can always continue texting with your friends from right where you left off.
3. Email looks almost the same with slight differences. But thats an app where we would like to see a lot of improvements.
4. Web browser is decent and fast. Thanks to N8′s better ram and browser.
5. Maps look the same. But we all know that Nokia is constantly adding services to improve the experience. Not to mention, own voice for navigation.
