Samsung recently announced the Samsung Galaxy SIII at a special event held at London. The new flagship is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy SII which has been doing great in the market with over 20 million devices sold to date. Galaxy SIII comes with a 4.8″ Super AMOLED display with approximately 306ppi. The phone runs Android 4.0.4(Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by Exynos 1.4 Quad core processor. RAM is 1GB and Camera is still 8MP like its predecessor. As per Engadget, Korean Economic Daily reported that an unnamed Samsung official has told that the SIII has managed to get over 9 million pre-orders already. If that’s true, then its a very good indication that the phone is going to be a huge hit worldwide. Not to mention, the phone has not been announced for the US market yet. Currently, S3 competes against the HTC’s One X and Sony is Xperia S. And if some of you would agree against Nokia’s Lumia 900 and Pureview 808. Although I wouldn’t really count them as competition. Galaxy S3 is currently available for pre-order in many countries already with price starting from $799 for the base model. The phone is available for pre-order in India now at the Samsung e-Store. A new invite issued by Samsung indicates that the phone would be launched in India this May 31st.
