Even though Nokia was all busy promoting their latest Windows Phones, they haven’t forgotten the promises they kept. This is a surprise as most updates usually don’t make it in time. And this is also a sign that how serious they are with their Windows Phones.
The first update fixes the battery issues and WiFi connectivity issues that has plagued some of the units in the market. The unit we have at our base has this issue. However, we haven’t received the update yet. The update is being rolled out as you read to all regions. Nokia has said that it may take up to two weeks when all regions have received the update.
The second update is not Lumia specific. It applies to all Windows Phones out there. The latest Windows Phone Mango build 8107 will also be rolled out in the coming days to fix the syncing issues with Googlw Mail, Voice mail and issues on disappearing keyboard. FYI, these updates require you to connect your phone to computer. So keep the data cable ready. And make sure you have Zne software on your PC or Windows Phone connector on Mac.
